Help Us Change the World

Where it goes

Here’s what your money pays for.

Every panel, dinner, and workshop we run is by students, for students, and free of charge. With only minimal funding from the University, donors cover nearly everything else. Here’s where that support goes:

  • Events

Food and drinks for panels, dinners, and happy hours. This is most of what we spend. A room with coffee and pizza is the difference between thirty students and five.

  • Hosting our guests

Parking, a meal, a small thank-you for the alumni and professionals who drive across the metroplex to spend an evening with students.

  • This website

The site, the domain, and the job board run on a paid plan. It’s a fixed annual cost, and it’s what keeps the calendar and the listings reachable year-round.

  • Doing more of it

Anything past the basics buys more events per semester, in more fields, and eventually outside Dallas — which is the whole point.

How to give

Two ways to give.

Forum LVI’s money is handled through the University’s Office of Student Life, so a gift goes through them and comes back to us. A CashNet page for online gifts is on the way; tell us you’re interested and we’ll send you the link once it’s live.

  • Cash or check

Give through the Office of Student Life with Forum 56 in the memo line, so it’s routed to us and not to the general fund. Email us first and we’ll tell you who to make the check out to and where to drop it off.

  • Sponsor something specific

Cover the food at one evening, underwrite a merch run, or take the website for a year. You’ll know exactly what your money bought.

Sponsorship

What a sponsor actually gets.

We’re a student club, so the numbers are modest. Here’s what sponsorship looks like in practice.

  • What we can offer

A room full of the students you want to meet. Your name on the event you funded, a seat at it and time in front of the room if you want it, first look at students for internships and roles, and a short note afterward on what your money did.

  • What we won't claim

Our events draw dozens of students, not hundreds. We make introductions, but we can’t promise hires. Sponsoring us is not an endorsement by the University. Officers turn over every year, and we’ll introduce you to the next ones.
